Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does it hurt having Dermal Fillers?
A: Depending on your individual pain tolerance, and where you used the filler, discomfort levels vary. We use a medical strength numbing agent at Maples to make the treatment as comfortable as possible.
Q: How long will my Dermal Filler last?
A: This is entirely case specific and down to the product being use. As a general rule between 6-12 months. Higher end Dermal Filler products can last 18-24 months.
Q: Will I be bruised or swollen after my filler appointment?
A: Bruising and Swelling are definite possibilities with any filler. I will provide you with aftercare advice to advise you how to deal with this. Any bruising or swelling will resolve on its own.
Q: Are fillers reversible?
A: Here at Maples we only use hyaluronic acid based Fillers which are reversible. In the unlikely event you want to dissolve your filler we are able to do that in a short visit in clinic.
Q: Are the results instant with Dermal Fillers?
A: With Dermal Fillers, results can be instantaneous. You may experience some swelling and bruising. You can expect to see true results within 1-2 weeks.
Q: Does having anti-wrinkle treatments hurt?
A: Most clients report little to no discomfort during the injections procedure, no more than a small pinch. If you are anxious I can always offer topical numbing cream.
Q: How long until I see results from Anti-Wrinkle injections?
A: Full results can be observed from 14 days.
Q: I’ve just had Botox and don’t see the results I was hoping for. Can I comeback for more treatment?

A: Every face is different. This is something we will talk about during consultation where I will accurately quote how many units you will need to achieve your desired results.
Q: How much downtime is there with Botox?
A: Most clients go directly back to their day to day duties. I only ask for you to follow the aftercare advice given at appointment.
